• Advert Title Lecturer in Higher Education - Film & Contextual Studies (2 days per week, 52 weeks per year)
• Advert Text We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and creative lecturer for a position on our BA (Hons) Film & TV programme within the Higher Education department at the University Centre South Essex. The post holder will need to have experience in this industry, with a full video post-production skillset (including editing, colour grading, compositing), experience with Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras for location shoots and a knowledge of screenwriting practice/theory and contextual. Additionally, delivery will be across the Higher Education department on contextual studies. You will ideally have specialist knowledge in contextual studies and related sector expectations in order to support delivery of a broad curriculum across levels 4, 5 and 6. If you have excellent knowledge of Film & TV and contextual studies and have a passion for sharing and passing on your skills and experience, then this may be the ideal post for you. You should have a High-Grade degree in Film & TV or related subject, and a Master’s degree in Film & TV or related discipline is desirable. A PGCE and teaching experience are also desirable, though not essential depending on other experience.
