South Essex Colleges Group is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Creative Arts Lecturer to join our team at the Thurrock Campus on a 0.6 FTE basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and growing Creative Arts department, delivering engaging and innovative teaching across Performing Arts, Production Arts, and Music programmes. You will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment within the creative industries. About the Role As a Creative Arts Lecturer, you will: Deliver engaging lessons across Performing Arts, Production Arts, and Music programmes. Plan, prepare, and assess learning activities that meet the needs of diverse learners. Track and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support. Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative learning environment. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities. Support recruitment events, open days, and cross-college initiatives. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: A Level 3 Teaching Qualification (or equivalent).or a willingness to work towards one. GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). Relevant qualifications and/or industry experience within the Creative Arts sector. Experience of teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring learners. Strong communication and organisational skills. A passion for creative education and student success. Interview Date: 29th July 2026 The salary offered to the successful candidate will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
